What The Papers Say - 27 April

Michael Keane features in today’s Liverpool Echo – the centre-back has hailed the “experience and stability” of his fellow defenders at Everton.

The Blues have named the same backline for the past six matches, with Keane playing alongside skipper Phil Jagielka, and full-backs Leighton Baines and Seamus Coleman. The Toffees have conceded just five goals in this time and Keane says the experienced trio “have made a massive difference”.

The local read also carries quotes from Everton Under-23s boss David Unsworth, who says Nathangelo Markelo “has come alive” over recent weeks.

Unsworth believes the Netherlands Under-19 international has thrived playing in his favoured central midfield position.
