What The Papers Say - 20 March

The Liverpool Echo looks at a potential Everton swoop for Bristol City left-back Joe Bryan. Bryan, 24, seems to have found a scoring touch this season with the defender netting five times including a fierce strike against Manchester United in the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup in December.

According to The Times, the Blues are keen to sign another left-back this summer in the shape of Luke Shaw. The newspaper are claiming the 22-year-old is unhappy at Old Trafford and wishes for a move away. Everton, however, may have to fend off other sides such as Tottenham Hotspur for the defender's signature.

Finally, the Birmingham Mail are posing the question of whether Theo Walcott can push for a late call up to the England squad for this year's World Cup. The winger has scored twice and created two goals for his teammates since his January switch from Arsenal and could be knocking on the door for a first World Cup shout since 2006.
