Six Everton players have been named in the England Under-21s squad for upcoming internationals.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Tom Davies, Jonjoe Kenny and Mason Holgate have been called up by manager Aidy Boothroyd along with Ademola Lookman and Kieran Dowell, who are currently on loan at RB Leipzig and Nottingham Forest respectively.
England Under-21s will take on Romania at Molineux in the ‘Cyrille Regis International’ on Saturday 24 March, before hosting Ukraine in an U21 European Championship qualifier at Bramall Lane on Tuesday 27 March.
On the prospect of playing at the home of his former club Sheffield United, Calvert-Lewin said: “If I’m picked to play it would definitely be a special moment for me. It puts a smile on my face just thinking about it. To run out for England in my home town, at my boyhood club’s stadium, in front of many of my family and friends would be a dream come true.
“I grew up supporting Sheffield United and watched many games at Bramall Lane as a kid growing up. The city of Sheffield is very much like Liverpool, really – they love their football and there’s a red and blue divide in Sheffield just like there is in Liverpool.
"It will be great to see the fans of both Sheffield clubs turn out in force to support England and hopefully roar the team on.
“It’s a great stadium and a great atmosphere to play in. I’ve played there a few times for Sheffield United and I know the Blades fans love Bramall Lane.”
