Former Everton goalkeeper Nigel Martyn tells Tuesday’s Liverpool Echo that current Blues stopper Jordan Pickford “looks every inch the part”.

Martyn, who earned 23 England caps as well as making 100 appearances for the Toffees, has been impressed by the former Sunderland starlet’s first campaign at Goodison and expects him to rival Stoke City’s Jack Butland to be the long-term No.1 for the Three Lions.

The Daily Mail
report the news that defender Ramiro Funes Mori stepped up his comeback from a serious knee injury with 74 minutes for Everton’s Under-23s on Monday, while striker Oumar Niasse and manager Sam Allardyce appear on Here Is The City praising the recent contribution of stand-in left-back Cuco Martina.
