Gylfi Sigurdsson discusses his impressive upturn in form in Monday’s newspapers, telling the Daily Mail he is now heading in the right direction after a challenging start to his Goodison career.

The same player, scorer of Everton’s opening goal in Saturday’s 3-1 win over Crystal Palace, also features in the Liverpool Echo, stating his belief the Blues’ solid recent showings on home soil can inspire a strong end to the 2017/18 campaign.

The Echo look at Wayne Rooney’s role and why they believe he could be the “new Gareth Barry”, while manager Sam Allardyce talks to the same paper about Tom Davies’ impact since returning to the first-team fold.
