Everton are said to be closing in on a move for Theo Walcott, according to Wednesday’s local and national newspapers.

The Arsenal winger is reported to have been on Merseyside on Tuesday night to complete a medical by a number of national editions including the Daily Mirror and Daily Express.

The Liverpool Echo looks at how Walcott might fit into the Blues’ starting line-up, and charts his rise from teenage prodigy at Southampton to England international.

Everton are also linked with moves for France Under-21 international Martin Terrier of French club Strasbourg, and former Real Madrid youngster Omar Mascarell, currently playing his trade in Germany with Eintracht Frankfurt.
