What The Papers Say - 10 January

The Liverpool Echo reports how Everton major shareholder is encouraged with the work Sam Allardyce has done since his arrival at the Club, claiming he is a "good tactician" and has a "tidy football brain".

Moshiri also speaks of his optimism for the second half of the season, claiming new signing Cenk Tosun is a top player after seeing him perform for Besiktas against Monaco, having "single-handedly destroyed them".

Elsewhere in the Liverpool Echo, Gylfi Sigurdsson believes new signing Tosun will "revitalise" Everton in front of goal after facing the forward at international level, when Tosun's Turkey faced Iceland. From one striker to another, the Echo poses the question, 'is it too soon to let Oumar go?', after the arrival of Tosun and interest from other Premier League clubs in Niasse.

The Daily Mail claims that the Blues are favourites to sign Arsenal's Theo Walcott, ahead of interest from Southampton.
