Several of Friday’s newspapers claim Everton are set to complete a £27million deal for Besiktas striker Cenk Tosun.

And the Daily Star reports manager Sam Allardyce will name Tosun in his squad if the transfer can be confirmed before the midday deadline today.

The Liverpool Echo claims the signing of the Turkey international will signal the start of a new transfer strategy, with the Blues targeting players in the “elite” age group.

Elsewhere, Ross Barkley is linked with a £15million move to Chelsea.
