Walsh Moves To Bristol City

Liam Walsh has joined Championship side Bristol City in a permanent deal for an undisclosed fee.

The midfielder, a Premier League 2 winner with Everton last season, has agreed a contract to the summer of 2020 at Ashton Gate.

Huyton-born Walsh signed on with the Blues as a five-year-old and rose through the ranks to become a regular for the Under-18s and later David Unsworth’s Under-23s but never made a first-team appearance.

A former England Under-18 international, the 20-year-old had loan spells at Yeovil Town and Birmingham City during his time at Goodison Park.

He joins Lee Johnson’s Robins with the club fourth in the Championship table and just two points off the automatic promotion places.
