Wednesday’s newspapers suggest Everton are “close” to completing the signing of striker Cenk Tosun from Besiktas.

claim the two clubs have agreed a fee for the 26-year-old Turkey international, while the Daily Mirror
say “hopes are rising” around Goodison after productive talks with Besiktas president Fikret Orman. The Liverpool Echo
believe the Toffees will try to tie up any deal in time for Tosun to feature in Friday’s FA Cup third round tie at Anfield.
Elsewhere, the Express say Everton are weighing up a move for Arsenal’s Theo Walcott but add that the Blues face competition from West Ham United, Newcastle United and the England forward’s former club Southampton.
