Under-23s' Cup Match Postponed

Welcome, Marco!

Everton Under-23s’ Premier League Cup match against Barnsley tonight has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch at Southport’s Merseyrail Community Stadium.

David Unsworth’s side had been due to welcome the Tykes in Group F of the competition but a decision was made early on Wednesday to call the match off after heavy overnight rain.

Everton currently sit second in the group, seven points behind leaders Leicester City but with two games in hand. Barnsley are level on points with the young Blues in third having played a game more.

Details of the re-arranged fixture will be announced on evertonfc.com in due course.
