What The Papers Say - 30 December

Everton are said to have sent a delegation to Turkey to tie up a deal for Cenk Tosun in Saturday’s newspapers.

Both the Guardian and Liverpool Echo link the Blues with a £25million move for the Besiktas frontman.

The former also suggest Ross Barkley is a target for Chelsea, while the latter includes Sam Allardyce suggesting he wants up to three new additions to his squad should his targets be available.

Alongside Tosun, several other striker options are assessed by the local read.

And finally, the Echo writes that Allardyce would take his former charge at Blackburn Rovers, Steven N’Zonzi “tomorrow” but is not prioritising a midfielder next month.
