Everton are linked with a pair of strikers in Wednesday’s newspapers.

The Daily Mail claim the Blues have expressed an interest in Besiktas’ £20m-rated forward Cenk Tosun, 26, while the Daily Mirror believe Sam Allardyce is one of a number of managers looking at Celtic’s 21-year-old Frenchman Moussa Dembele.

Arsenal’s Olivier Giroud is unlikely to be heading to Merseyside however, according to Allardyce, who is quoted on the Gunners striker in the Mail.

Elsewhere, there is reaction to Tuesday’s goalless draw at West Bromwich Albion across the national editions, while the Liverpool Echo award Michael Keane, Ashley Williams and Jonjoe Kenny top-scoring sevens out of 10 after the Toffees kept a sixth clean sheet is eight at the Hawthorns.
