Sam Allardyce discusses Everton’s uplift in form in Boxing Day’s papers, revealing he asked his players to “simplify” what they were doing out on the pitch.

The Blues head to West Bromwich Albion this afternoon unbeaten in seven games, having kept five clean sheets in that time, and Allardyce is quoted in the Liverpool Echo, Daily Express and Daily Mail explaining the turnaround.

The Daily Star claim Allardyce has a list of three strikers he is eyeing in the January transfer window, while the Echo and Daily Mirror speculate on the future of midfielder Ross Barkley.

Finally, the Echo explain why Everton could leap up to third in the table of Boxing Day points amassed by English clubs with victory at the Hawthorns.
