Thursday’s Daily Mail claims Everton are one of a number of clubs “showing interest” in Lille defender Adama Soumaoro.

The French-born 25-year-old, reportedly valued at around £20million, is also said to be attracting admiring glances from West Ham United, Monaco, Sevilla and Borussia Dortmund following a string of impressive Ligue 1 displays.

The Mail and the Liverpool Echo report the news that Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Jonjoe Kenny and Mason Holgate have all signed new deals with the Blues, while the Echo review Wayne Rooney’s impressive form since returning to Goodison Park.

The same paper explains why youngster George Shaw had a day to remember at USM Finch Farm recently, while Ross Barkley’s future is discussed in the Daily Telegraph
