Ademola Lookman will make his first Premier League start this season as David Unsworth makes three changes to the Everton team for this afternoon’s contest with Crystal Palace.
Winger Lookman has been restricted to three Europa League starts this term and last lined up from the first whistle of a top-flight match against Sunderland on 25 February.
There is also a recall to the team for Aaron Lennon, who was selected for Unsworth’s first three matches at the helm but dropped to the bench last time out against Watford.
The 30-year-old has been rewarded for his match-winning cameo in that encounter, while there is also a return to the starting XI for midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin.
Frenchman Schneiderlin will operate beside Idrissa Gana Gueye in the Toffees’ engine room, with Lookman and Lennon on the flanks.
Gylfi Sigurdsson will fill the number 10 role, scheming in behind lone striker Oumar Niasse, making his third Premier League start of the season and hunting his fifth goal in the competition this term.
Everton’s back-four remains unchanged from that which played in the victory over Watford a fortnight ago, with Jonjoe Kenny and Leighton Baines as full-backs, and Michael Keane partnering captain Phil Jagileka in the middle of defence.
Jordan Pickford maintains his Premier League ever-present record in Everton’s goal this season.
