The search for Everton’s next manager again features in Thursday’s newspapers.

The Liverpool Echo claim the Blues are “ready to make a second approach” for Watford boss Marco Silva, but the Daily Telegraph report the Hornets have already reiterated the Portuguese will not be allowed to leave Vicarage Road.

The Daily Mirror features quotes from Sam Allardyce, who appeared to rule himself out of the running during an interview on talkSPORT, and add that David Unsworth will again be in charge for Saturday’s Premier League trip to Crystal Palace.

The Echo write that ex-Everton midfielder Tim Cahill cut a tearful figure after qualifying for his fourth World Cup with Australia on Wednesday and also look at all the current Toffees stars who could be heading to Russia next summer.
