Film Stars Don’t Die In Liverpool
, a film following the playful but passionate relationship between a legendary femme fatale and her young love, will be released this week - and you can win two tickets to see it at your local cinema!
Based on the memoirs of Peter Turner and set in Liverpool, 1978, what starts as a vibrant affair between Evertonian Turner and Academy Award-winning actress Gloria Grahame quickly grows into a deeper relationship, with Turner being the person Gloria turns to for comfort. Their passion and lust for life is tested to the limits by events beyond their control.
Julie Walters and Liverpool-born Stephen Graham feature in a stellar British cast that also includes Academy-award winner Annette Bening (American Beauty, 20th Century Women, The Kids Are All Right), Jamie Bell (Billy Elliot, Jane Eyre, The Adventures of Tintin), Vanessa Redgrave (Atonement, Foxcatcher), with Kenneth Cranham (Maleficent, Layer Cake), Frances Barber (Medici, Mr. Holmes) and Leanne Best (Line of Duty, Undercover).
Shot on location in Liverpool, London and Pinewood Studios, the film was produced by Barbara Broccoli and Colin Vaines, with a screenplay written by BAFTA winner Matt Greenhalgh.
