Speculation regarding the Blues’ next manager continues in Wednesday’s newspapers.

Several national outlets claim Sam Allardyce’s hopes of landing the role are fading, with rumours suggesting the Club’s board see the former England manager as only a “short-term solution”.

Elsewhere, Atletico Madrid boss and former Argentina midfielder Diego Simeone is the latest name to be linked to Goodison Park.
