David Unsworth features heavily across Saturday’s editions of the local and national newspapers.

The former Everton defender, who has taken temporary charge of the first team, insists he is open to using every member of the first team squad in the Liverpool Echo.

The local read also carries quotes from Unsworth explaining why he wants his players to express themselves on the pitch.

Meanwhile, the Daily Express suggests he is leading the race to land the manager’s job on permanent basis, while the Guardian reports that there is no time frame for Unsworth’s role as temporary manager.

But the Daily Mirror believes the Club are open to naming the former defender as their next permanent boss.
