Speculation over who could become the next Everton manager continues in Friday’s newspapers.

A number of potential candidates are mentioned across local and national editions, with Burnley’s Sean Dyche claiming he has not been contacted by the Blues in the Daily Express, but that in being linked he is "flattered" at having his achievements with the Clarets recognised.

Marco Silva, currently head coach at fellow Premier League side Watford, is another tipped for the vacancy but the Liverpool Echo report he is happy to remain at Vicarage Road.

The Echo also carries quotes from former Crystal Palace chairman Simon Jordan on why Everton should move for Sam Allardyce, while Kevin Ratcliffe tells the local read he feels Carlo Ancelotti will not be interested in replacing Ronald Koeman.

Elsewhere, the Daily Star suggest senior players within the squad have come out in support of David Unsworth landing the job on a full-time basis.

Finally, Unsworth talks to the Echo about the support he receives from former boss and now Everton's Professional Development Co-ordinator, Joe Royle.
