A defiant Ronald Koeman features in Saturday’s national newspapers, insisting he is the man to turn things around at Everton.

The Blues boss accepts recent results have not been good enough but tells the Daily Star that he still believes in his players and that “the future will tell everyone that the [summer] signings were really good”.

In another upbeat interview, Koeman is also quoted in the Liverpool Echo, explaining how he copes with the pressure of being a Premier League manager.

Ashley Williams also appears in several national outlets, including the Daily Mail and The Independent.

The Wales captain opens up about a testing couple of months at both domestic and international level, and also reveals his Club teammates are working extra hard for manager Koeman in a bid to get back on track.

Elsewhere, in an interview that first appeared on this week’s Everton Show, Wayne Rooney opens up about ‘that’ goal against Arsenal in 2002 ahead of Sunday’s visit of the Gunners.

And finally, in the Daily Mirror, it is reported Tottenham Hotspur are set to step up their interest in Toffees midfielder Ross Barkley after Victor Wanyama and Mousa Dembele were ruled out for “weeks”.
