October's Everton Magazine On Sale - With Official Team Photo!

@Everton

Phil Jagielka and Leighton Baines discuss their 10 years with the Blues in October’s Everton magazine - plus there's a first glimpse of the 2017/18 team photo!

The summer of 2007 saw Jagielka and Baines - two defenders who had suffered the heartache of being released by the Toffees as teenagers - return to the Club.

A decade on, they have amassed almost 750 first-team appearances between them and been mainstays under three different managers.

To mark their achievements, the pair headed to Goodison Park’s Alex Young Suite earlier this month for a special celebration evening and spoke at length about their time with the Blues, the highs and the lows, and those they have shared a dressing room with along the way.

Also in October’s issue, summer signing Cuco Martina explains how waking up one morning to discover his club had gone out of business almost prompted him to turn his back on football altogether.

The Curacao captain also reveals the turning point that reignited his career and how a first meeting with one of the Koemans would eventually lead him to the Premier League and later Goodison Park.

The much-loved Daniel Amokachi was back on Merseyside recently and sat down with former manager Joe Royle to discuss THAT famous 1995 FA Cup semi-final against Tottenham Hotspur, the substitution that never was and why his affection for Everton will never diminish, despite him spending just two years in L4.

Yannick Bolasie provides an update on his recovery from the knee injury that has kept him out since last December, there’s all the latest Club news and we travel to Queen of the South to speak to James McFadden about life at Palmerston Park - and playing under former Toffees teammate Gary Naysmith.

Premier League 2 title-winner Beni Baningime outlines why he’s at the perfect club in Everton, we look at some recent changes in the Academy, and Gabby George discusses her hopes for Everton Ladies in their first campaign back in WSL1.
