Everton Ambassador Heading To India

Everton ambassador Graham Stuart is set to be a star guest at this year’s Premier League Live event, alongside former Arsenal winger Robert Pires, 1999 treble-winning Manchester United defender Ronny Johnson and the competition’s all-time record goalscorer Alan Shearer.

Premier League Live will take place in Bengaluru, India on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 October, with ex-Leicester City captain Gerry Taggart and Manchester City legend Paul Dickov also lined up to join 1995 FA Cup hero Stuart.

The prestigious fan park event, which has previously taken place in Mumbai and Cape Town, will offer up a Premier League experience to fans in a football-mad country with a population of 1.3 billion people.

Throughout the weekend, there will be a giant screen showing live match day action, including Everton’s visit to newly-promoted Brighton and Hove Albion, while a designated Toffees tent will allow supporters to meet Stuart, collect giveaways and learn more about the Club and its players.

“This is a terrific event and it gives every invited Premier League club an opportunity to showcase what they are all about,” Stuart said. “The supporters in the local area head to the fan park and it makes for a great atmosphere, particularly when the matches being played over that weekend are shown live.

“It was successful in Mumbai and Cape Town in previous years - both events which I attended - so I’m fully expecting it to be just as good this time in Bengaluru because the fans in India are so enthusiastic about football.”

Attendees will see a total of five Premier League games over the weekend, experience a Premier League matchday - from arriving at the stadium to walking out of the tunnel to the roar of the crowd - through state-of-the-art virtual reality headsets, and test their power, accuracy and pace in the Premier League Kick Lab and Striker Sprint zone.

There will also be opportunities to grab a photo with the Premier League trophy and purchase club memorabilia and merchandise, with added entertainment coming from local music acts and DJs.
