Ronald Koeman has reiterated that Everton must prioritise boosting their attacking options in January after confirming to Saturday’s newspapers that the Blues missed out on Arsenal’s Olivier Giroud in the last transfer window.

The Dutchman discusses his search for a targetman in the Liverpool Echo and Daily Express, with the Daily Mirror claiming Tottenham Hotspur are keeping tabs on Toffees winger Ademola Lookman.

The Daily Mail report the news that Phil Jagielka and Michael Keane will both have late fitness tests ahead of Sunday’s Premier League meeting with Burnley, while the Echo say Wayne Rooney is fit to face the Clarets after a scan confirmed he had not broken his hand during Thursday’s 2-2 draw with Apollon Limassol.
