Everton duo Morgan Feeney and Dennis Adeniran have been named in the England Under-19s squad for upcoming friendlies against the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
It is a first call-up to the age group for Blues Under-23s captain Feeney. The 18-year-old defender - a boyhood Evertonian – has previously been a regular for Neil Dewsnip’s England Under-18s.
Feeney is joined in the 22-man squad by his young Toffees teammate Adeniran. The 18-year-old midfielder joined Everton on a four-year deal from Fulham on transfer deadline day.
England Under-19s take on the Czech Republic at SC Znojmo on Friday 6 October. The Young Lions will then head across the border into Slovakia for a second match on Monday 9 October at NTC Senec.
Next month sees Paul Simpson’s squad head to Bulgaria for the first qualifying round of this season’s Euro campaign, where England will face their hosts, Faroe Islands and Iceland. Should they finish in the top two of that group, they will progress to the elite qualifying round next March which is the last hurdle before the finals in Finland.
