There are more transfer rumours in Monday’s newspapers, with claims Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud could move to the Blues in January.

Giroud’s fellow Gunners forward, Danny Welbeck, is also mentioned with the 26-year-old’s contract set to expire at the end of next season.

Oumar Niasse’s match-winning performance against Bournemouth continues to be discussed - and manager Ronald Koeman believes the Senegal international is thriving on the lack of expectation.

Elsewhere, Davy Klaassen’s visit to former club Ajax is covered, after the Dutchman received a hero’s welcome at the Johan Cruyff Arena when he was presented to fans at half-time.

Klaassen joined the Dutch giants as a schoolboy in 2004 and spent six year in the first team, captaining them to a Europa League final last season as well as lifting three Eredivisie titles.

And finally, part of a Q&A that first appeared in our official matchday programme features in the Liverpool Echo, with Mason Holgate revealing he has been mocked by his teammates after admitting he did not think reindeers were real!
