Jonjoe Kenny is picked out as one of the players looking to make an impression in the Carabao Cup in Tuesday’s newspapers.

The Daily Mail list 10 youngsters hoping to catch the eye in this season’s competition and include full-back Kenny, who could feature in Wednesday’s third round tie with Sunderland at Goodison Park.

That game could also see the return of former Academy graduate James Vaughan, who joined the Black Cats over the summer, and the Liverpool Echo include comments from Simon Grayson on how the striker has impressed.

The Mail also suggests Everton are monitoring youngsters who have been let go by Huddersfield Town after the Terriers decided to close their Academy.

Meanwhile, the Telegraph writes that Ronald Koeman will be given time to turn the Blues’ current run of form around, while Michael Ball reveals why Oumar Niasse has impressed him in the Echo.

The local covers a win for the Under-23s over Derby County and a Premier League Cup success for the Under-18s.
