Everton are closing in on a deal for Hajduk Split’s teenage winger Nikola Vlasic, according to Monday’s newspapers.

The Guardian claim a £9.26million deal has been agreed for the 19-year-old after he impressed during the Blues’ recent Europa League play-off victory over the Croatians.

The Daily Mail, meanwhile, suggest a fee of £8million would secure the Croatia international and that he would then be sent out on loan to continue his development.

The same paper say Everton have also expressed an interest in Porto’s Spanish defender Ivan Marcano, and that the Club will reject any approach from Olympiakos for winger Kevin Mirallas.

Elsewhere, a number of editions cover the news that Jordan Pickford has withdrawn from the England squad due to a muscle injury, while Mason Holgate and Ashley Williams reflect on Sunday’s 2-0 defeat at Chelsea in the Liverpool Echo
