GCSE Joy For Academy Scholars

Congratulations to the first-year scholars at Everton’s Academy who received their GCSE results last week.
The 10 Academy players, who attend a number of schools across the North West, picked up their results on Thursday morning after undertaking examinations in a range of subjects earlier this summer.
Throughout the year, the youngsters balance their education with their commitments in representing Everton as players and the Academy is extremely proud of the boys’ off-the-field achievements.
Everton values the academic achievement of all its scholars and the key role education plays in the future of the young players in our Academy.

David Porter, Everton’s Head of Education and Welfare said: “We are delighted with the GCSE results of our players and congratulate them on their achievements.
“We anticipate continued success once they start at Carmel College and begin their Post-16 education.

“I would also like to thank Wade Deacon High School for their continued support and the partnership with our Club that facilitates such outstanding outcomes for our boys.”

The 10 GSCE graduates will go on to study a BTEC in Sport at Carmel College during their scholarship at Everton.
