Six Everton players have been called up by England Under-21 boss Aidy Boothroyd for European Championship qualifiers against Holland and Latvia next month.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Jonjoe Kenny, Ademola Lookman and Kieran Dowell have all been rewarded for their roles in the Under-20s' World Cup triumph this summer by being promoted into Boothroyd’s party.
Mason Holgate retains his place in the squad after being part of the young Lions’ team that reached the European Championship semi-finals in June.
There is also a first Under-21 call for Tom Davies, who trained with the senior squad under former Three Lions boss Roy Hodgson two years ago.
England Under-21s launch their qualifying campaign in Holland on 1 September before returning home to take on the Latvians at Bournemouth’s Vitality Stadium on 5 September.
Scotland, Andorra and Ukraine complete England’s group, with the six teams in group four vying for a place in the European Championship finals in Italy in 2019.
