Leighton Baines appears in a number of Saturday’s newspapers after speaking to the media following Thursday’s 1-0 win over MFK Ružomberok.

The Blues left-back discusses why he believes Wayne Rooney can help end the Club’s trophy drought.

Baines also hails England’s leading goalscorer as a huge influence both on and off the pitch.

Elsewhere, summer signing Sandro Ramirez says he is aiming to repay Everton fans for the “real wave of support” he has already felt since arriving on Merseyside.

Rooney features in the Daily Express, explaining how the Toffees must share the goals around this season following the departure of Romelu Lukaku.

It is rumoured Everton and Liverpool could be set to go head-to-head in a battle for Werder Bremen striker Max Kruse, who scored 15 goals last term.

And finally, Blues duo Ross Barkley and Tom Davies are reportedly on the wanted list of Chelsea manager, Antonio Conte.
