Morgan Schneiderlin tells Saturday’s Liverpool Echo that Everton are strong enough to handle the demands of balancing domestic and European competition next term.

The midfielder reveals how he was promised the Club would make big summer additions when he joined from Manchester United in January and says he is excited about the squad Ronald Koeman and Director of Football Steve Walsh are putting together.

Elsewhere, the Daily Mail claims the Blues are close to bolstering their youth ranks with 16-year-old Newcastle United defender Lewis Gibson, while the same paper highlights an Instagram post showing a young Wayne Rooney wearing his first ever pair of Everton pyjamas

Former Blue Don Hutchison tells the Echo that Everton are “very close” to being ready to finish above rivals Liverpool next season, and the same paper takes a look at the Club’s two potential Europa League opponents, Ružomberok of Slovakia and Norway’s SK Brann.

Finally, the Daily Star points to reports that rumoured Everton target Olivier Giroud would favour a move to German Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund should he leave Arsenal this summer.
