Everton have completed the signing of 18-year-old winger Josh Bowler from Championship side Queens Park Rangers.
The youngster has agreed the terms of a three-year contract and will link up with David Unsworth’s Under-23s squad.
A product of QPR’s academy system, Bowler only signed his first professional contract with the Londoners in March but was handed his first-team debut in May, coming on for the final 21 minutes of a league game against Norwich City.
The left-footed midfielder, who can also play off the right, becomes the fourth summer addition to Everton’s Premier League 2-winning Under-23s squad following the arrivals of defender Nathangelo Markelo and forwards Anton Donkor and Boris Mathis.
“I’m really excited to join Everton – it’s a fantastic opportunity for me,” said Bowler. “This is a club on the up at every level. I can’t wait to get started, meet the other lads and begin working with David Unsworth.
“I’m a direct player, I feel like I can bring excitement in the final third and this is the perfect place for me to continue my education and development.”
