Everton will take on Belgian side KRC Genk as part of the first-team’s pre-season schedule.
Ronald Koeman’s Blues will travel to the Luminus Arena on Saturday 22 July, with kick-off scheduled for 3pm UK time (4pm local time).
Genk secured an eighth-place finish in the Belgian top division during the 2016/17 season.
Known locally as Blauw-Wit (the Blue and Whites)
, Genk are considered to have one of the best Academy systems in Belgian football, with Yannick Carrasco, Thibaut Courtois and Kevin De Bruyne all examples of internationals to have progressed through their youth setup.

It is Everton’s fourth confirmed pre-season fixture, with the Blues also facing Kenyan side Gor Mahia in Tanzania on Thursday 13 July
, Dutch outfit FC Twente in the Netherlands on Wednesday 19 July
and Spanish giants Sevilla at Goodison Park on Sunday 6 August
Everton’s involvement in the Europa League also begins in July, with the two-legged third qualifying round matches being held on Thursday 27 July and Thursday 3 August. The draw for those ties takes place on 14 July.
