SportPesa Super Cup Semi-Finalists Confirmed

Nakuru All Stars staged a major upset by defeating Simba SC on penalties to secure their place in the SportPesa Super Cup semi-finals.

Kenyan minnows Nakuru held on to a goalless draw with Tanzanian Premier League runners-up Simba in regulation time before triumphing 5-4 on spot-kicks.

The All Stars will now face another Kenyan side, Gor Mahia, who lead the nation’s top division, after they overcame Jang’Ombe Boys 2-0 earlier in the day.

In the other semi-final showdown, Tanzanian champions Young Africans will play Kenyan side AFC Leopards.

Both ties take place on Thursday 8 June, with the eventual winner of the tournament set to lift the SportPesa Super Cup and be given the chance to face Everton in a pre-season friendly at the National Main Stadium in Tanzania on 13 July.
