Saturday’s Mirror links the Blues with Nigerian teen forward Henry Onyekuru. The report says the Blues are chasing the 19-year-old, along with Southampton, West Brom, Crystal Palace and Middlesbrough, after he scored 21 goals for Belgian top-flight side Eupen this season.

The Daily Mail runs an ‘alternative end-of-season awards’ and hails Idrissa Gana Gueye as the Premier League’s top tackler, with the Blues midfielder making 135 tackles in the campaign to date, 11 more than PFA player of the season N’Golo Kante.

And the Liverpool Echo features a story on Ronald Koeman revealing the ‘mystery man’ he met at a hotel during the week – which sparked transfer speculation in the media – a cameraman who is filming a documentary about Barcelona’s 1992 European Cup success.
