Everton midfielder Kieran Dowell has been nominated for April’s Premier League 2 Player of the Month award.
The 19-year-old has been a regular for David Unsworth’s triumphant Under-23s side, who were last week crowned inaugural PL2 champions.
Dowell is one of five players on the shortlist for the prize, alongside Rory Hale (Aston Villa), Josh Sims (Southampton), Mason Mount (Chelsea) and Donovan Wilson (Wolves).
The winner will be selected by a panel of the Premier League Football Development department and their decision will be announced in due course.
If successful, Dowell would become the second Everton player to win the monthly award this season after fellow midfielder Liam Walsh secured the prize in February.
The Under-23s complete their season on Monday with a mini-derby against Liverpool at Goodison Park. The match, which kicks off at 7pm, is free entry, with donations being taken on the night for the Home Is Where The Heart Is Campaign.
Supporters must have a match ticket to enter the stadium. Tickets are currently available at both the Everton Two store and Goodison Park Box Office, where they will also be available on the day of the match.
