Andy Spence said Everton Ladies produced their best performance of the season in the 3-0 victory over Aston Villa.
The Blues responded to the setback of losing at Millwall Lionesses last time out with a dominant display on Easter Sunday.
Simone Magill, Claudia Walker and Faye Bryson got the goals which mean Everton have won three of their four matches in the Spring Series so far.
“It was our best performance of the season and we want to keep pushing ourselves forward. This Spring Series gives us the chance to hone ourselves for September.
“We went into the game today focusing on a number of key areas and one was keeping a clean sheet. I’m delighted we have done that because it’s the first time this season. We didn’t look like conceding which is a pleasing aspect.
“We had a lot of the ball and not only that, we used it well at the right times. We scored three but, based on chances, it could have been even more.
“It’s important that when you get to 1-0, you extend that lead as quickly as you can. We killed the game off with the two quick-fire goals.
“It was great to have goalscorers spread across the team. The girls should be rightly proud of a very good performance.”
The game’s outstanding goal was the opener, netted by Magill from 25 yards out in the closing stages of the first half.
Spence added: “Simone said it was the first time she’s ever scored from outside the area!
“She’s got that ability and her confidence over the years she has been with us has grown and grown. She’s such a clever player in terms of the position she takes up.”
