Ronald Koeman revealed he has "good hope" Morgan Schneiderlin will be fit to face Leicester City.
Everton host the reigning Premier League champions on Sunday - and, speaking at his pre-match press conference, Koeman says a final decision will be taken on Saturday to see whether or not the France midfielder is fit enough to be involved.
Schneiderlin has missed trips to Liverpool and Manchester United after sustaining a calf injury during the 4-0 home win over Hull City last time out at Goodison.
“I have good hope that he will be available," Koeman told evertontv. "He trained today and yesterday, and if there is no problem tomorrow he can be fit for the weekend."
One certain absentee for the clash against the Foxes is Ashley Williams, who will serve a one-match suspension after being sent off in the 1-1 draw with Manchester United on Tuesday.
Koeman also confirmed he will be without Ramiro Funes Mori, Yannick Bolasie, Muhamed Besic [all knee], James McCarthy [hamstring], Seamus Coleman [leg] and Aaron Lennon.
