What The Papers Say - 19 March

Sunday’s newspapers are full of reports and reaction from Everton’s 4-0 victory against Hull City.

The Sunday Telegraph leads on Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s goalscoring contribution, referencing the progress he has made since playing for non-league Stalybridge Celtic two years ago.

The Sunday Express looks at how Romelu Lukaku’s injury-time double made him the first Everton player since Gary Lineker in 1985/86 to score 20 league goals in a season, and the first since Bob Latchford eight years earlier to find the net in seven successive home games.

The Mail on Sunday’s report states how Lukaku is now two goals clear in the race for the Premier League Golden Boot.

Meanwhile, in the Liverpool Echo’s player ratings, Phil Jagielka, Ross Barkley and Idrissa Gana Gueye top score, with each of their performances being judged at eight out of 10.
