Unsy: Let's Finish The Job

@Everton

David Unsworth has called on his Everton Under-23s side to secure the ultimate reward their efforts this season have deserved ahead of a trip to Derby County on Monday evening.

The young Blues fell to a defeat against second-placed Manchester City last time out, but remain three points clear at the top of the Premier League 2 table with four games remaining.

And, ahead of a trip to Pride Park, a proud Unsworth discussed his hopes for the rest of the campaign.

”We are in a great position,” he told evertonfc.com. “If you had asked us at the start of the season would you want to be three points clear and have a good goals difference with three games to go, of course we would have wanted that.

“We are competing with the likes of Chelsea and Manchester City who have spent fortunes. We are very proud of our group and, not matter what happens, we will still be proud.

“These players have given themselves a great opportunity to achieve something quite special and I expect them to do it. If they don’t, life goes on. But we’ve had a great season and I’m very proud of our group."
