Blues Begin Senior Cup Defence

Everton begin the defence of their Liverpool Senior Cup title with a trip to Litherland REMYCA on Wednesday evening.

The young Blues, who beat Preston Cables 3-0 in last season’s final, enter the competition at the quarter-final stage.

Everton are the most successful club in the history of the LSC with 46 titles, although the 2015/16 win was their first since 2007.

Litherland play their football in the North West Counties League Division One and enter Wednesday’s tie on the back of a 3-0 away win at Alsager Town last time out.

In the LSC first round, Litherland were 4-2 winners against St Helens Town.

Wednesday’s tie takes place at Litherland Sports Park, with kick-off at 7.45pm.

There will be goal updates on the Everton Twitter account with a match report following here on the official website shortly after the full-time whistle.
