Mor To Come

Morgan Schneiderlin has vowed his impressive performance on his full Everton debut is "only the start".

The France international played his first 90 minutes since September at the bet365 Stadium, forcing his way into Ronald Koeman’s XI after two substitute appearances for the Blues since his switch from Manchester United.

After Peter Crouch’s strike had been cancelled out by Seamus Coleman’s deflected effort, goalkeepers Joel Robles and Lee Grant ensured a stalemate in Staffordshire.

Speaking after the game, Schneiderlin said he feels as comfortable at his new club as he looked on in the pitch, but promises the Blues faithful there is more to come when he reaches full match sharpness.

"The fans were brilliant," he told evertontv. "I loved it to play in front of them. They were loud and they lived up to their reputation, so I’d like to say thank you for that. But it’s just the start. I want to give a lot more, I can give a lot more and I will do that when I get into my rhythm and I’m sure we will complete some great things.

“I’m settling in well. The lads have been brilliant with me. Obviously I knew the technical staff and everyone has made it easy. I have the trust of everyone so that makes me very happy now I can enjoy my football. It was good to have 90 minutes tonight.

“We knew it would be a hard game. We knew they were on a good run and improving. It was a difficult game. We conceded the goal early but we showed good character to come back into the game.

“We had good spells with the ball and created chances. Joel made a great save before half time and that gave us some momentum for the second half. Their keeper made a great save at the end too but if we have a good result against Bournemouth, this will have been a good point.”
