Keeper Makes Loan Switch

Russell Griffiths has joined Motherwell on loan until the end of the season.

The 20-year-old goalkeeper’s move to the Scottish top-flight club sees him become the latest Everton youngster to gain senior experience.

Motherwell currently sit ninth in the Scottish Premiership, with Mark McGhee’s team hosting Rangers on Saturday.

Griffiths spent five months on loan at League Two club Cheltenham Town earlier this season, starting 29 games.

Blues players currently on loan in the Football League are Conor Grant (Doncaster Rovers), Callum Connolly (Wigan Athletic), Aiden McGeady (Preston North End), Anthony Evans (Morecambe) and Gethin Jones (Barnsley).

Tom Cleverley and Oumar Niasse linked up with Watford and Hull City respectively earlier this month, while Shani Tarashaj is spending the 2016/17 season in the Bundesliga with Eintracht Frankfurt.
