Options Available For Koeman

Welcome, Marco!

Everything you need to know about the new boss here.

Ronald Koeman says he will face a tough decision when it comes to choosing his team for Sunday’s visit of Manchester United with everyone but long-term absentee Muhamed Besic available for selection.

“The team news is very good,” said the Blues boss at his pre-match press conference on Friday. “We have only one of the squad out and that’s Mo Besic.

“The rest of the team is fit and that’s good because we need everybody. It’s tough to make the decisions but that’s good, that’s what you want.”

Besic has been absent since sustaining cruciate knee ligament damage in the pre-season friendly against Manchester United in August but Koeman revealed the Bosnian’s rehabilitation is well on track.

“It’s going well with Mo,” he said. “I expect he may be back with the team training in early February and that’s looking very positive.”
