Luke Garbutt has joined Wigan Athletic on loan until January.
The 23-year-old left-back has made 12 appearances for the Toffees since his debut in 2012 and has added to his experience with three previous spells in the Football League.
Spending the majority of 2011/12 at Cheltenham Town, Garbutt helped the Robins reach the League Two play-off final at Wembley, before a fruitful four months with Colchester United in 2013/14.
A season-long switch to Fulham in 2015/16 saw the England Under-21 international make 25 appearances and he will now look to impress in the Championship once again with the newly-promoted Latics.
Wigan take on Birmingham City at the DW Stadium on Tuesday evening.
Garbutt becomes the Blues' third loaned-out player this month following Conor Grant and Russell Griffiths agreeing temporary moves to Ipswich Town and Cheltenham respectively.
