Duo Star In Another England Win

Ryan Ledson and Jonjoe Kenny both played 90 minutes as England Under-19s recorded a 100 per cent group stage record at the European Championships with a 2-1 win over Croatia.

The Everton duo both sat out the victory over Netherlands on Friday but were restored to the Young Lions’ starting line-up on Monday afternoon.

However, Callum Connolly missed out after it was announced earlier that an injury had forced the defender to withdraw from the tournament.

England won the game thanks to an early strike from Izzy Brown which was quickly followed up by an own-goal from Croatian defender Silvio Anocic.

With the group fixtures now complete, England finish top with nine points and will now play Italy in the semi-finals on Thursday.
