Blues Win Training Game

Welcome, Marco!

Everything you need to know about the new boss here.

A goal from defender Brendan Galloway gave Everton a 1-0 win over FK Jablonec in a training game at the Club's pre-season training camp in Austria on Saturday.

It was the last session for the Blues before jetting back to Liverpool to resume their pre-season preparations at Finch Farm ahead of next weekend's friendly at Barnsley.

The fixture, played at the home of FC Schruns where the Blues have trained throughout this week, allowed manager Ronald Koeman to give precious minutes to as many as 20 of his players.

Against the backdrop of the snowcapped Alps, Mason Holgate and Galloway were the only two to play a full 90 minutes and it was they who combined midway through the second half to allow the latter to volley home the only goal from close range.

Those players involved in the European Championships in France and Copa America finalist Ramiro Funes Mori were not part of the training camp but will return to training in the coming weeks.
