Everton Fans’ Forum are pleased to be backing the Fans Supporting Foodbanks initiative.
The initiative has been conceived by local Everton and Liverpool supporters and will see fans working alongside two North Liverpool Foodbanks (St Andrews Community Network and Anfield Breckside Community Council).
The project gives fans an opportunity to make a small donation which will in turn make a major contribution to combatting food poverty within our communities. All the donations will be split between the two foodbanks and distributed to residents in need in North Liverpool.
Fans will be able to donate much-needed food supplies including tins of food, rice, pasta, tea, coffee or snack items before our forthcoming games against Bournemouth (30 April) and Norwich City (15 May) at Goodison Park, with a Fans’ Supporting Foodbanks mobile collection point to be located at the Park End Car Park.
Fans can keep up to date with the initiative’s progress by following @EFC_FansForum on Twitter or by using the hashtag #HDWCC where the Forum will update on tweets detailing the total amount of food collected and also any specific items required for the next collection.
Poverty does not discriminate, and we are proud to be one of what he hope to be a number of football clubs recognising and doing something about poverty within our local community.
